  My boyfriend and I had been thinking about getting a dog for a really long time. I had grown up with English Springer Spaniels and now that it was time to get a dog of our own, we knew what kind we wanted to get.
  
  My boyfriend and I contacted James and he offered to let us come meet the puppies at his home in Munster, TX. Though it was a long drive from Austin, we wanted to make sure that the puppy we were buying was being raised in a clean and healthy environment and we wanted to meet his parents of our future pup.
  
  We went out to the ranch and James and his wife were SO kind and informative, you can tell they love what they do. The dogs are not in any kind of dirty environment and all seemed happy, curious and comfortable.
  
  We picked out the one that both of us were drawn to and drove back to Austin to wait for the puppies to be old enough to take home. About a week before we were set to take our puppy home, we got a call from James.
  
  James had told us that the puppy we selected may have a heart murmur, nothing genetic, it just happens in puppies sometimes. He told us that during the puppies latest check up, the vet thought she heard something irregular with his heartbeat but wasn't able to hear it a second time.
  
  During that call, James was just as upset and concerned over the news as we were. He offered to work with us and had their vet do more tests on the puppy. James really cares about the people and the dogs that he deals with. James didn't have to tell us about the heart murmur, but he wanted to make sure we were going into owning a dog with eyes wide open.
  
  We have had our little boy Finn for almost a year now and he is one seriously healthy, happy, beautiful boy. He LOVES water and is one of the most dedicated dogs I've had the privilege of knowing (I've included a couple of our favorite pictures of him to this review so you can see for yourself).
  
  If you are reading this review, debating if James is the breeder that you want to go with - consider this your sign. We couldn't have gotten our little Finn without the help of James, his wife and their children.
